Chief Harold Rost to Retire

Chief Harold Rost will retire as Police Chief of Crafton Borough, his last day will be April 15, 2010.

Details of his retirement package will be forthcoming.

Residents of Crafton should be relieved that the CPD can now get on with doing professional, effective police work that protects the residents of this borough and ensures our safety long tern, rather than being subjected to the unprofessional rants of Chief Rost.

As morale rises in the department, I think residents will quickly see a completely different side of the the fine officers that make up the CPD. You'll see a police department that's run efficiently and effectively while minimizing costs and increasing the safety of all residents.

A key to an effective police department is the retention of officers, long term. This has been an issue over the past several years with a few young, professional officers leaving the borough of Crafton.

Let's hope for the best!!

You know there was an incident in March of 2010 where chief Rost stated to a us the parents (the Mother was a victim of sexual abuse during her childhood)of a 8 year old victim of indecent assult sexual in nature that it was our fault that she was the victim of this abuse because you let this person into you home.

Well we were friends with this person for seveal years prior to the incident and with that Statement the Crafton Police Chief spoke for not only Crafton Borough but the Police Dept as well by indirectly stated was that if your a victim of any crime its your fault. So if your robbed its your fault, house broken into your fault assulted your fault.

I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against the Borough the police Dept, i also notified the DA Offices, PSP,FBI and the Attorney Generals Office.

On an other level I called the media, the womans shelters and victim rights

Crafton Borough could have stopped this a long time ago but they didnt so they to are at fault for his actions.
